Cleantech was chosen for developing disruptive solutions to encourage behavior change to combat the climate crisis in daily life.

São Paulo, September 2022 - The Brazilian cleantech company BION Global has been selected under the Innovation Diplomacy Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in the Startup Olé 2022 fair in Salamanca, Spain. The Program aims to promote Brazil's image as an innovative nation by supporting the internationalization of technology companies, attracting investments, and fostering partnerships with innovation hubs and research centers, among other activities.

The startup was chosen because it develops innovative solutions to encourage and reward individuals who are taking action, through changes in behavior and consumption, to combat the Climate Crisis in their daily lives. The goal is to work together with the scientific community to develop protocols and mechanisms to measure the impact of individual actions for the environment and then reward people with tokens for positive actions, such as replacing car usage with bicycles, saving energy, recycling waste, among other actions that will prevent considerable emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

In August, BION launched 3 billion tokens on the Polygon blockchain network, which will operate under the "act and earn" modality, an unprecedented concept, and can be earned through an application that is in its final development phase.
